Format 400 Cabrio
The Format 400 Cabrio is an innovative cruising design with sailing performance as a key design criteria. Her light construction, responsive steering, slim hulls and high powered sail plan make her the catamaran of choice those who enjoy responsive fast sailing.
The design and thought put into her sail handling and layout also ensure she can be sailed single handed without compromising speed or performance making her an ideal long distance fast cruiser.
Her draft of 1 metre with low aspect ratio keels the Format 400 can be beached easily - whether for maintenance in a far flung corner of the Ocean or at the local beach for a barbecue ashore.

The aft helm station is centrally positioned and allows a great view forward with plenty of seating and social space.

The saloon area is well sheltered by the fixed screen bimini and provides seating for 4 with additional seating provided by removable seats. |

The accomodation in each hull is bright and has very effective through ventialtion. The interior finish is easy to clean and includes all the features needed to enjoy spending time aboard, including pressurised hot water, full shower compartment, 2m x 1.6m berths and a well equipped galley. |

All sail control lines are lead aft from the mast intto the cockpit and to winches on either side of the seating area. Each winch is provided with a halyard storage bin and clutches for line control - eben the sheets from the genniker can be lead aft to this position., making short handed sailing a pleasure. |
