Originally Kelsall's Suncat 30 is an openbridgedeck catamaran. The present owner wanted more sheltered accommodation and therefore built a light and strong cabin over the bridgedeck and changed the interior layout of the hulls to his own taste. In this way he created a high performance, sleek cruising catamaran with two double bunks and two small singles, a spacious heads with a bidet, a handy galley and lots of storage space. Thanks to the daggerboards and lifting rudders, the vessel can dry out on shallow sand banks. The cockpit is arranged for solo-control with separate wheel steering for the outboard and a tiller. The present configuration with fixed mast is not yet tested.
Originally launched in 1991, a total overhaul/upgrade was finished in 2015.
Some parts still date back to 1991, but this is functionally a 2015 vessel.
