1986 PROUT QUEST 33 - For Sale
Prouts are renowned for their structural strength and have become known for their world girdling stamina and safety records. They have been crossing the world's oceans for decades carrying families in safety and comfort. The deep, secure cockpit is wonderful for children and pets while offering comforting security when seas turn rough. Capable cruisers or even liveaboards, they always look after their crews. The now famous aft stepped rig keeping sail handling safe, controlled and simple while giving away little in performance. The rudders too are fully protected in event of finding the bottom unintentionally. The Sillette drive is lifted out of harms way while sailing, with the added bonus of reducing drag. A thoroughly considered evolution of a thoughtful design.

Broker Comments
This boat was purchased to family cruise in 2013, to sail in comfort. The owners have sailed cross Channel to France many times and even headed South for a winter spent cruising the Canaries and Spain, Portugal and Madeira returning via the Azores. Another trip was to Ireland, though the boat is also happy pottering around its local waters and up the Solent. The design has proved to be more than capable of all it was asked to do and been very comfortable as a home afloat, even in inclement weather. The hardtop has allowed for placement of solar panels making energy management easier on board. The current colour was a granddaughters choice but is a single pack and could be removed or overprinted without too much trouble. The boat is for sale due to advancing age, and the wish for it to go on to more adventures rather than a slow decline. Coppercoat antifouling. Painted one pack Ral406 Traffic Purple
