She was carefully built by the current owner using first class materials. Dick Newick, the designer, visited and was impressed by the quality construction. Said it’s the lightest of the 3 Cheers built. Peter Spronk sailed her and felt she was faster than his designs. She has never been raced but has been cruised extensively winter and summer, often single handed. The rig is moderate for reasons of safe passage making but was capable of 14kts hard on the wind and 20kts off the wind.
