The Outremer 4X design from the Outremer boatyard is based on the well known Outremer 45 but lengthened by three feet and then enhanced to include features that reduce her weight and improve her performance. The 4X is designed for maximum performance and ease of sailing - with a rotating carbon mast, kevlar rigging, square top mainsail, carbon wheel and two carbon tillers. Carbon bulkheads as standard. All of this performance improvement has been achieved without sacrificing her long distance sailing attributes and the result is a great performance cruiser/racer.
