This was the first Astus 20.5 Sport in the UK.and used as a show boat and demonstrator. The Astus 20.5 was nominated for the European Yacht of the Year in 2018 Described as their coastal cruiser/racer, their 20.5 is their most successful trimaran to date. As a result of their partnership with naval architects V.P.L.P. the 20.5 Sport is a head turner. The Sport has a lighter resin infused central hull and upgraded sail package. Wave piercing hulls placed further apart and bouyancy further forward gives it a contemporary look and makes a truly stable sailing platform for the larger Sport rig. Impressive speeds of up to 20 knots can be achieved with this boat but the real advantage is that with higher average cruising speeds - previously out of reach destinations become a reality for day trips or weekends. The 20.5 cabin offers room for 2 with a long V berth, seating to port and starboard, with storage space easy to access thanks to the offset centreboard. This is a true trailer sailor with full kit including rig and trailer weighing just over 800kg which can be easily towed by even smaller family cars. It folds quickly and easily, afloat or ashore, to within the UK legal towing width and is easily launched and retrieved thanks to the braked roller coaster road trailer. The mast raising kit allows it to be rigged quickly and easily, even single handed if necessary.
