The Event incorporates many proven features from previous Prout designs, such as low aspect keels to give, strength, durability and performance. The high aspect ratio rig allows the Event to give a sparkling performance whilst being single handed, as all lines lead back to the helmsman. This boat originated in South Africa and was originally designated the 'Esprit' a model name later used for the 36 foot Prout produced in Canvey. This boat is very clean and in good condition. The engine has been annually serviced and all routine maintenance undertaken to make sure it is a good state at all times. A spacious design and a joy to sail. The wide cockpit gives good seating and shelter from the wind and waves, with all lines leading back to the cockpit.

Why we like it - The final and what most would consider the best iteration of the Prout brand, lighter, faster and better sailing than almost all the other models, including the Snowgoose. This is a well built and well maintained example of this rarely available and sought after design. Vessel epoxy coated from new and the hull has to be one of the best we have ever seen.
